Thoughts on the Full Moon lunation in Virgo that occurred on 2/24/2024
Sun at 5 degrees Pisces in opposition to the Moon at 5 degrees Virgo occurred at 7:30 AM EST on the 24th of February, 2024.
Moon in Virgo brings an emphasis to work, health and service. Service being the operative word. Virgo is a Mutable Earth sign connected to the mundane and the ordinary.
The Sun in Pisces is also concerned with service, however as a Mutable Water sign it penetrates the deeper components of our consciousness.
Sun in Pisces dissolves the boundaries which then opens the floodgates of our unconscious. If serving is done with yielding respect we are able to open the door within our psyches to new levels of perception.
In its highest octave of Venus, Neptune ruler of Pisces leads us towards mercy, compassion and understanding.
Being the solvent of the Zodiac, Pisces breaks down boundaries and limitations. The boundaries of separation between our own functioning ego and the place within our mind, body and soul. It’s the part of our being where the world of dreams, the creative spirit itself and connection to limitless perception lives.

The Pisces/Virgo dynamic has the evocative capacity to blend the mystical with the mundane. To evoke a numinous quality to our experience of time and space that transforms perceptions of ourselves and each other.
Virgo Moon keeps us grounded as we allow ourselves to surrender into the steady rhythmic flow of daily essential tasks and rituals.
Mercury/Sun/Saturn in Pisces forms an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. This dynamic configuration has the potential to bring forward a new understanding of the systems and structures currently in place. To clarify what is working and what is not in order to repair and reinvent systems and structures that do.
The opposition warrants a need to find the balance that supports an effective relationship to the mundane and the mystical. We are at a point where, “What if….” ideas and speculations can be entertained with serious inentt. The influence of Pluto at 0 degrees Aquarius could be well utilized in this way.

The consistent connection to service allows the boundless energy of Jupiter in Taurus to have sensible limitations that may be well utilized. This supports balance and well being as we continue on.
Jupiter in Taurus sextile to Mercury/Sun/Saturn in Pisces influences energy in a beneficial way even in the midst of chaos and transformation, Jupiter in Taurus works its magic by coloring our experiences with enthusiasm and wonder. This harmonious configuration offers a reassuring nod to us that encourages our perceptions of daily living towards the extraordinary.
