On 1/13/2025 the Moon at 23 degrees Cancer reaches full brightness in its opposition to the Sun in Capricorn at 23 degrees.
The Cancer/Capricorn dynamic relates to home and family in terms of our roots. It’s about our foundation which is needed to serve as a prerequisite to being in the world.
And for whatever reason if that is not adequately available we must find a way to parent ourselves. That is where Capricorn can be supportive and play a beneficial part.
It is good to know that when adequate enough parenting has not been a part of our entry into the world, we have access within ourselves to find ways to do it for ourselves.
Capricorn is about the mature establishment of a healthy sense of self. This then gets played out through our work, careers and establishing ourselves in a benign way in the world. Preferably as fine upstanding citizens in positions that requires integrity and responsibility.
Cancer seeks to imbue us with a sense of safety, stability and comfort. To be nourished properly and to nurture harmoniously. This allows the Capricorn components to maintain the balance needed in order to pursue careers and successful accomplishments in the community and the world. Thus with self esteem and the wherewithal needed to fulfill their obligations responsibly, Capricorn moves forward with dignity and carries on.
The Yin/Yang dynamic of the Full Moon in Cancer being stimulated by its conjunction to Mars Rx evokes a vibe that is protective, shielding and guarded.
This energy is further charged up by its opposition to the Capricorn Sun conjunct Pluto in Aquarius. This dynamic transit aspected as it is evokes power struggles. With others and with one’s self.
To be present with whatever is being played out brings clarity to issues not given much thought to before. So it is a time when the transformative component causes a shift in beliefs, in ideology, philosophy and worldviews.
To be aware that this process is at work and to breathe into whatever is being presented allows for mutual resolution. Within that process wisdom emerges, along with confidence, trust and respect.
Holding this wisdom allows us to use these powerful energies as they move through us. To skillfully manage our feelings and then to respond to the circumstances being presented to us is the way through.
It’s an evolutionary growth space where we have the opportunity to integrate understanding with compassion and skillful right action.This is assisted through breath work, exercise and creative movement. These are healthy good practices to cultivate at this time.
To hold with grace and strength the understanding that the Sun in Capricorn conjunct Pluto in Aquarius indicates that change and transformation cannot be avoided. It’s up to each and every one of us to hold with intention the changes we want to live into.
To be holding the severed head of Medusa in front of us rather than allowing our panic and anxiety to freeze us into solid stone.
This is only the beginning since Pluto has only just begun to continue its transit through Aquarius.
This moment has just the right spark of challenge to trigger the power dynamic of the Plutonian/Aquarian energized life force. That being the self assertion needed to keep on. To continue to follow through.
There is a vibrant instinctual drive towards life contained within the dynamic of this moment. It’s a beneficial time to focus on issues pertaining to conscious awareness of our inner most longings, yearnings and our fears.
To become aware of how these are getting played out in our lives. It’s a good time to free ourselves of past fears through self awareness via introspection with the help of the good guidance and support of a skillful life Coach.
The dynamic of this moment can result in an unraveling that could be a bit dismaying. Nonetheless, it is a useful time to come to terms with the components of our lives that emerge through the lessons of the Mars/Pluto opposition. To courageously face our fears triggered through circumstances that emerge during the course of this transit.
The necessary question to ask is how? How to make our lives work as we walk through challenging times?
How to embrace the challenges as an energy that can actually support stability, self dominion and self sovereignty even in the midst of so much demolition and destruction.
In homeopathy there is a an understanding that the sickness in very small dosages is the cure. I see this as a metaphor that offers a riddle that can be decoded.
It’s a good question to hold even if no immediate answer can be found.
Jupiter Rx in Gemini at 12 degrees continues on in its square to Saturn at 19 degrees Pisces conjunct Venus at 11 degrees Pisces. Another dynamic challenging combo here to support our understanding via self awareness as it gets played out. To note that it’s not as important to know how it will get played out as much as being aware of what is being constellated and how to work with it. What part of you is being asked to grow and evolve? To bring this awareness to whatever dilemma you are undergoing brings meaning to it. This brings understanding and compassion. It helps to ease the stress and anxiety.
Saturn, the ruling planet of Capricorn mellowed, somewhat by its movement thru Pisces. Along with somber sober Saturn sweetened somewhat by Venus. Venus exalted in Pisces carries with it some harmony, balance and feelings into the equation.
At this time there is also the Nodal Axis’s ingress from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo.
The duality of Pisces has the capacity to present two possibilities. When the higher octave of Pisces/Neptune is activated the focus and intention is motivated by humility that seeks a path of service. In fact surrenders to it.
Pisces ruled by Neptune opens the door to the ethereal realms of higher consciousness. This can only be experienced through our feelings that then fills our perceptions which originate from within our heart and soul. This allows the lessons, gifts and beauty of Pisces to be received and integrated in a healthy way. To be utilized safely and effectively in a supportive healthy ego function. I refer to ego here in the Jungian psychological terms. Ego acting as the organizing force of our conscious mind.
However, the fog of Neptune, ruler of Pisces could feed delusional notions based on narcissistically motivated falsehoods. This occurs, usually when there is a shutdown or wholly disconnect between the mind, body, heart and soul. An unhealthy disorganized ego experiences Pisces and Neptune as a rational for destructive behavior and/or an escape hatch. This unhealthy ego function learned to adapt probably as a means of survival. Devoid of heartfelt emotions and disconnected from soul, therefore lacking consideration if the consequences of its actions results in harm and fatality to others. Lawlessness, deceit and cruelty becomes normalized as “monsterizing” the other is accepted.
However, there is the possibility of light coming through as Saturn in Pisces has the capacity through healthy reparenting to work through this mess. The Saturn function of boundaries and limitations imbued with the healing energy of Pisces brings to light the possibility of seeing it through in another way.
It could be that the Saturn in Pisces square to Jupiter Rx in Gemini in its frustrating differentiation has the capacity to help us make sense of it. Then to guide us towards right action that navigates viable solutions for all.
From a global political perspective it seems the latter possibility, which is the fog of Neptune with distortions, denial and delusions is getting played out. At least, at this time. It feels like Rilke’s beautiful Princess pursued by the dragon. We are in the grips of something helpless that wants help from us. To me this is what the Pisces/Virgo Nodal Axis is in the midst of evoking globally. How to rescue that frightened component within us that appears to be getting played out all around us? How to help something seemingly helpless that wants help from us?
Globally on the grand political stage we see indications of destructive grandiosity getting played out. There is a dangerous imbalance getting played out which is fed by old systems and structures. These systems and structures no longer serve life. Still folks cling onto them since the movement of awareness has not shifted enough yet.
The Nodal Axis transiting through Pisces/Virgo along with Pluto’s transit through Aquarius shall influence change towards an evolved humanity. Eventually, because growth and evolution is a slow but steady process the shifts in consciousness will occur as indeed they are occurring even as I am writing this. It’s just a slow moving process.
Still and all, when it comes down to it, truly it is up to as many of us as possible to not be deluded by the fog of Pisces. Rather to breathe and live in present time in order to see the truth of reality with our own eyes. The point of power is always in present time.
As we show up for our lives with this path of consciousness in mind we have the collective power to evoke the energy of critical mass towards healthy embodied consciousness.
I believe the time we are living though is giving us the opportunity to transform our world into the world we desire to live in.

Aries ~ Ah the emotional vulnerability of it all. This is the time of the Spiritual Warrior and truly that is what you are learning to surrender to.
