As we enter the New Moon in Capricorn At 9 degrees conjunct the Sun in Capricorn @ 5:27 PM EST on December 30th, 2024.
Capricorn seeks solitude as it makes its way up to the top of the mountain.
In the clarity of the fresh air and the silence of the solitude of the upward climb, self sovereignty and self dominion is realized by Capricorn.
To establish systems and structures for stability. To have sovereignty of their lives requires discipline, practice and perseverance.
To build systems and structures that have relevance to their lives and those around them requires integrity.
Whether it’s an actual building structure, structure of business and/or lifestyle structure it must have relevance and integrity. To be put to practical effective good use for themselves and others.
Integrity is the healing gift Capricorn has to offer. We must live in truth or nothing matters. Being a Cardinal Earth sign, living in truth within the material world does matter.
This New Moon conjunct the Sun at 9 degrees Capricorn forms a sextile to Saturn in Pisces at 14 degrees. This can inspire creative impulses that supports ideas, plans and goals to move forward.
Saturn the ruling planet of Earthy, Cardinal Capricorn transiting through Pisces ruled by Neptune brings a new perspective. This serves to augment the status quo of Saturn’s design.
The somber sobriety of this moment allows for the materialistic solidified structure oriented Saturn to breathe, relax and dream. There is the potential for healing through integrating new concepts concerning the meaning of life itself as Saturn transits Pisces.
Saturn in Pisces can serve as the lighthouse for sailors to hold steady to their navigational route. This can also be viewed as a metaphor for our lives at this time, as well. At least in its evolved mode.
If not evolved then the fog of Pisces is distorted towards power grabs and sabotage. It is of great concern to many that this seems to be the struggle getting played out at this time among nations.
However, in its evolved form the flexibility of Pisces in its foggy cosmic flow imbues Saturn with the ability to let go, relax and imagine something different. The opportunity to be effective from a new perspective. This is supported very nicely with Pluto transiting through Aquarius.
Jupiter in Gemini forms a square to Saturn in Pisces. This transit has the potential to elicit growing pains. The exuberance of Jupiter imbued with Gemini’s curiosity is stressed and strained by the square angle it forms to somber introspective Saturn in Pisces.
The Jupiter square to Saturn is understood to be a time of significant personal and social transformation. It requires balance between expansion and contraction. To know one’s limits.
At this time its meaning is expanded by the deepening constriction of the t-square Saturn forms to Mercury in Sagittarius opposing Jupiter square to Saturn.
Mercury in Sagittarius forms a mutual container of awareness through its opposition to Jupiter in Gemini. Specifically this challenging aspect and the tension it produces, when feeling it serves as a caution to move slowly. To breathe and go one step at a time so to allow the growth and expansion implied to be realized.
Venus in Aquarius at 26 degrees squares Uranus in Taurus Rx at 23 degrees.
Venus in Aquarius being involved in tense aspect with Uranus, its ruling planet in Taurus, inspires changes so desperately needed. Could bring about awakening disruptions in order to liberate many of us on a personal and social level.
Uranus, co ruler of Aquarius, transiting through Taurus, emphasizes what really matters concerning our relationship to resources, money and finances.
Venus in Aquarius forming a tense aspect to Uranus in Taurus requires a letting go of that which is no longer relevant. When there is not enough conscious awareness and insight about this dilemma, then Uranus orchestrates some sort of inconvenient catastrophe. Hence, this is why we understand Uranus to be the Great Awakener.
It’s fascinating to observe how this mystery shall unfold.
Speaking of mystery, Neptune at 27 degrees Pisces conjunct the Nodal Axis at 1 degree Aries, moments away from the World Axis forms a square to Mercury in Sagittarius. This placement and configuration indicates that whatever this time brings to our personal and social lives it will be played out all through the World.
Even as the square Neptune and the Nodal axis forms to Mercury it is augmented by the “magic triangle”.
That is the sextile Neptune conjunct the Node forms to Pluto in Aquarius trine to Uranus in Taurus which then completes the triangle as it forms a sextile to Neptune conjunct the North Node.
It’s a Minor Grand Trine aka as a “Magic Triangle” which is active from 2025 -2028. However, it began its mystical formation in 2022. Its influence is most felt now at the time of this New Moon in Capricorn.
These 3 powerful outer planets, Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Pisces along with Uranus in Taurus, combined together in this harmonious way contains the vibrational resonances that have the potential to push us towards higher consciousness. The evolutionary inspiration and wisdom needed for the quantum leap we are in the midst of at this time.
For this moment it is life affirming to understand it as an influence that comprehensively evokes the breakthrough in consciousness needed to allow for evolutionary progress and change. Its resonance of power harmonizes with life, freedom, vitality and spirit.

Such a powerful dynamic opposition that requires a bit of unpacking so to make friends with this moment, or not. I really hope we do somehow.
Mars, ruler of Aries, is a willful, instinctually oriented Planet that sees itself as the “only one in the world”. Transiting slowly in its Rx motion through Leo. The creative Fire sign that also sees itself as the only one in the world. However, the extra ingredient Leo brings to the equation is heart. Leo, the Lionhearted has oodles of courage, generosity and a need to be loved and recognized.
As it is lined up in its opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto, in astrology symbolizes death, as in destruction of obsoleteness and irrelevancies. Its motivation for this is not death but rather towards rebirth. To emerge out of death and destruction redeemed. To rise transformed through letting go of that which no longer serves.
