Becoming Real…..

There was a Full Moon in Aries at 24 degrees on 10/17/2024 at 7:26 AM ESDT

It was a Full Moon in Aries so heavily aspected it read like an Agatha Christie mystery.

Most notable was that the Aries Full Moon in opposition to the Libra Sun was contained within a Grand Square. This Grand Square made complete by Mars in Cancer opposite to Pluto in Capricorn.

A Cardinal Cross.

A dynamic flow of energies that pertains to relationships, balance, assertion of self, self in partnership, self in business and marriage. That was one dynamic of the cross.

The other dynamic brings to light issues revolving around authority, home, mother, father, systems, structures, power and transformation.

Powerful dynamic energies are amassed when a Grand Cardinal Cross is constellated. To have knowledge of these influences opens the mind to insights that supports breakthroughs in awareness that opens the mind and heart to understanding.

The Libra Sun in opposition to the Moon in Aries conjunct Chiron evokes vulnerability. It’s the vulnerability of the Wounded Healer that opens the door to knowledge. Chiron, the Wounded Healer has the gift of understanding and comprehension acquired by working through unbearable pain.

Chiron Rx in Aries conjunct the Aries Moon helps us to drop down into the humble teachings of the Wounded Healer, symbolized by Chiron.

This dynamic forms a square to Mars in Cancer at 22 degrees. Continued healing and integration is suggested by this powerful angle. This influences our focus and attention towards the alignment of body, mind, heart and soul.

However the challenges caused by the friction of the square formed by Mars in Cancer to the Libra Sun and the Moon in Aries also triggers defiance, disputes and confrontations. Still and all this can be perceived as a birthing moment.

The Full Moon is a time when issues are brought to the light in order to see them through. It’s a culmination where an unthought known can become a conscious component that needs to be dealt with, perhaps at another time. Then it gets processed within the cycle of the waning Moon so we carry it through to the next cycle, if need be.

It is an interesting phenomena that planets aspected by squares and oppositions even as they contribute to stress and frustrations do provide motivation, willfulness and confidence that is needed to deal with adversity.

The mind, Mercury in Scorpio exploring the depths of darkness forming a trine to Saturn in Pisces. This harmonious combo has the potential to facilitate the changes and transformations being constellated at this moment via the challenging angles. Along with the provocative manifestations concerning world events.

The trine of Mercury in Scorpio to Saturn in Pisces fills the mind with glimmers of the downward depths of humanity balanced with the elevated cosmic flow of solidified yet misty cosmic consciousness. Elements of great beauty amid random acts of kindness to remind us of how interconnected we really are.

This Full Moon in Aries contains the friction and fury of many challenges. The dynamics of which appear to be formulating a “critical mass” of energy working together.

Mars is in Cancer at 22 degrees. With Mars being the ruler of this Full Moon in Aries, the Warrior is imbued with a new intention. Still motivated fearlessly to strive towards life however Mars in Cancer becomes protective as it is imbued with the vulnerable sensitivity of Cancer.

As Mars, the Warrior becomes sensitive to the sensitivity of Cancer, Mars, the war god is learning to love. The heartfelt influence of Mars in Cancer mellows the fiery fury of the Warrior. This motivates Mars transiting through Cancer to take actions that carries the intention to create a secure domain where safety and stability are found.

The square that Mars in Cancer forms to the Sun/Moon opposition is not particularly comfortable. However with Cancer involved Mars fosters the patience needed which in turn opens the door to the hidden pearls of wisdom. Pearls of wisdom contained within the protective shell of the crab as a defense against the intrusion of uninvited irritating foreign bodies,

The symbol of Cancer, the Crab, contains the nurturing mother archetype. When an irritant foreign to the crab enters its domain, the crab secretes a fluid to soothe itself that encloses the intruder. This is how pearls are formed. So I affirm globally that many amazing pearls of wisdom are forming via the metaphor of this archetype interlinked with the symbols of Mother and Home.

Mars in Cancer in opposition to Pluto in Capricorn sets two very dynamic energies at odds with each other. Mars symbolizes the birth process, the beginning. Whereas Pluto symbolizes death via demolition and destruction.

Pluto in Capricorn is motivated by a force so powerful whose destruction ultimately seeks getting down to the honest bare bones. Mars in Cancer seeks to protect the structures of home. While Pluto in its final vestiges in Capricorn seeks to tear down structures and systems that no longer serve.

I believe this powerful dynamic proves to be a necessary interplay that is illuminating for all the global community to see that we cannot go on in the same way as we have been.

The genocide which is escalating into hvery real threat of Nuclear War.

The very real and present denigration of our ecosystem whose symptom is an environment that is not sustainable for life. Change is coming. For many that change is here.

All this while alleged world leaders play a childish game of power over. Playing “chicken” with all of our lives. This dynamic Full Moon in Aries brings to light such shenanigans, if we open our eyes to it.

All this as the powerfully aspected brightly illumined Full Moon shines a light on the reality of so much pain, suffering and unspeakable atrocities. If we open our eyes to it.

To find within the complexities of the astrology some planetary understanding that can serve as a beacon of hope. That there is an affirmative prayer within some of the astrological influences.

To serve to reminds us of the power of the I-Thou relationship as opposed to the I-It relationship no longer sensible or sustainable. As it is stated by the Austrian-Israeli philosopher Martin Buber in his book, “I-Thou”.

This Mars/Cancer opposition to Pluto/Capricorn held within the dynamic of this Cardinal Cross at this Full Moon in Aries is shining a light on the critical need for transformation and change.

Invariably we are on a path that must shift towards social justice and concerns that serve the people as we serve each other. Not the “Tweedledums or the Tweedledees” occupying high positions as Professor John Mearsheimer has stated.

We must remember to breathe.

To be fully present so to be centered in the moment where the point of power is.
