Our inner being symbolized by the Moon serves to inform the Sun, the external expression of our being. To take actions and plan strategies in order to follow thru with our intentions.
That is why the New Moon is an auspicious time to set a new intention, and/or if need be to give more energy and vibrancy to an ongoing intention, project or goal.
This New Moon in Gemini at 26 degrees anticipates the Summer Solstice and the Sun’s ingress to Cancer on the 21st of June. The longest day when the Sun travels the longest path through the sky, giving us more daylight. In astrology, in the Northern Hemisphere, the Sun’s ingress to Cancer begins the Summer Season. While, Winter is beginning in the Southern Hemisphere.
However, getting back to the New Moon on the 18th, EDT, let’s begin with the square Neptune in Pisces forms to the Sun/Moon conjunction in Gemini.
Watery Neptune in Pisces can evoke a bit of anxiety in relationship to the Airy light hearted Gemini. Nonetheless, this friction actually has the potential to create a magical mix. They both share the mutable quality that allows for desired adjustments to change.
For instance, Gemini transiting thru the Sun and Moon stimulates an effusive flow of information at a busy rapid pace. In square aspect to Neptune in Pisces this has the capacity to create a bit of foggy cosmic flow which slows the experience somewhat.
The square influence of the Gemini Sun/Moon to Neptune in Pisces could bring on a feeling of euphoria or thick fog. In spite of that, it could also strike a positive note. This moment can serve to calm and ease restlessness and nervous tension, via the Neptune/Pisces energies involved.

With Mercury involved, however, it accentuates the action of the Gemini Sun/Moon conjunction. This emphasizes the need to speak with integrity. This is a challenge but it’s outcome must be to establish trust and respect within our society.
To have the integrity to be fully present even in the presence of deception. To say “No” with conviction so that saying “yes” comes from a place of true intention. This square could serve as a global healing elixir towards truth, justice and understanding as we keep our consciousness lifted with respect, compassion and empathy.
Speaking of love, including money for that matter, here to sweeten the pot of this New Moon we have Venus. Venus at 11 degrees Leo conjunct Mars at 16 degrees Leo. This yin/yang conjunction is forming a vibrant sextile to Mercury at 11 degrees Gemini.
This alignment supports creating connections via listening and sharing. This has the potential to move some of us towards relationship and/or to make an existing one better.
Relationship seems to be the name of the game as Venus in Leo conjuncts Mars in Leo which forms a trine to Mercury in Gemini. Mercury, the ruling planet of the New Moon.
The Venus/Mars conjunction in Leo forms a square to Uranus in Taurus. We are in the midst of breaking out of structural systems of the past concerning models of relationships to ourselves and each other. The birth of a new paradigm with some beautiful components of the old are coming into being.
